So I was inspired about a month ago when I photographed this cutting board at a party that I decided to try to photograph a 'cutting board series' of photos. While making this yummy sandwich for Ben's lunch the other morning I thought it would be a good addition to the cutting board collection. As I've demonstrated before early morning photography and I don't always mesh as easily as I would like. I'm the type of person who - for some reason - thinks 6am is the perfect time to clean the bathroom, reorganize a cupboard or in this case try some artistic photography.
I couldn't get the angle right when the cutting board was on the counter so putting it on the kitchen chair - seemed at 6:30am the next logical solution. I stood on another chair to get the right angle, all of my concentration was on this yummy sandwich that I didn't even notice Ziggy coming near until he was in the frame! Too funny!
As far as the 'cutting board series' goes I haven't been able to doublicate the randomness of the first cutting board photo in any of my resent attempts...I think I need to photograph other people cooking so it wont be as intentional. We'll see.
